Controlled creation of point defects in 3D colloidal crystals

Description

The lab of Prof. Janne-Mieke Meijer from Eindhoven University of Technology used VAHEAT for temperature-controlled confocal laser scanning microscopy to verify and visualize the formation of the point defects in three-dimensional colloidal crystals. They analyzed the Voronoi cell volume of the interstitial microgel as function of temperature.
