Live-cell imaging of the DPANN archaeon
Description
The lab of Sonja Albers from the University of Freiburg used VAHEAT for live-cell imaging of the DPANN archaeon Nanobdella aerobiophila and its host at 65°C. Time-lapse light microscopy imaging of a co-culture of Na (examples indicated by arrows) with its host (M. sedula; examples indicated by arrowheads) reveals motility of non-attached Na cells.
