Live-cell imaging with heat shock in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Description

Wolfgang Zachariae‘s lab from the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry used temperature-sensitive alleles in yeast to study  the regulation of spore formation throughout meiosis. VAHEAT allowed heat shock and thus inactivation of heat sensitive proteins and simultaneous multicolour live cell imaging.
